Essiac Tea Dosage Instruction Guide for Adults and Children

Essiac tea dosage is based on your health condition. For example, individuals with cancer will take the aggressive dose while those who are healthy and want to prevent illness will take the preventive/maintenance dose.

It is advised to consult your health practitioner for dosage recommendations after reviewing this guide. Your dosages will change on your road to optimal health.

ADULT DOSAGES:

The Aggressive Dose is recommended if you are trying to improve your health. This is the standard recommended dosage if you have (or suspect that you have) cancer or another health problem.

Aggressive Dose:

The recommendation is 9 oz. per day, taken in three separate 3 oz. doses. 6-12 oz. may be used based on bodyweight, taken in three separate doses of 2-4 oz. each.

You should continue with the aggressive dosage for a minimum of five months, or until your test results return to normal. If your test results have returned to normal, you may reduce your tea to the maintenance dosage of 4 oz. just once per day. If at any point your symptoms return, we recommend that you return to the aggressive dosage of three 3 oz. doses per day.

If the original condition persists even while you drink the tea, continue on the aggressive treatment dosage until your condition improves and you're satisfied with the results. Keep in mind that many conditions worsen if they are not taking this tea, so sometimes just staying the same is a positive step.

All doses should be taken on an empty stomach. This product was tested by people with an empty stomach, and this will ensure maximum absorption of your tea dosage. For best results, avoid eating two hours before and one hour after.

*If you are currently taking chemotherapy and/or radiation, or you have been given a terminal diagnosis, we recommend the Aggressive PLUS Dose

Aggressive Dose PLUS:

Essiac can be taken during cancer treatments without compromising that treatment. If you are currently on a chemotherapy or radiation regime, please note that these treatments can diminish some of the strength of the tea. Taking "extra" tea to compensate for this ensures that the tea you're taking will be able to do its job. Many people on chemo and/or radiation have tried up to 18 oz. per day or three 6 oz doses, with good results. However, those who have remained with just 9 oz. per day, have also had good results. This decision is between you and your practitioner. We do recommend the aggressive dose PLUS for those who are currently receiving chemo and/or radiation, or who have been given a terminal diagnosis.

All doses should be taken on an empty stomach. This tea was tested by people with an empty stomach, and this will ensure maximum absorption of your tea dosage. For best results, avoid eating two hours before and one hour after.

Maintenance/Preventive Dose:

This tea dosage is 4 oz. of tea per day, and can be taken all at once. Remain on the maintenance dose for at least 6 months AFTER your test results have returned to normal. Many people choose to continue the maintenance dose indefinitely to maintain their good health. Some also take a maintenance dose as a daily preventive supplement, even though they have no health problems. This powerful tea is a ‘superfood’, rich in nutrients which will help prevent illness. The preventive dose continually detoxifies your system, improving overall health.

The Detoxification Dose:

Those interested in detoxifying the body to prevent illness or if you are recovering from an illness, you can use this tea dosage. Use 4 oz. per day, the same as the preventive dose.

The length of time you should remain on a maintenance dose is entirely up to you. I take the maintenance dose daily. With our busy lifestyles today, the tea gives me the added energy I need. ESSIAC DOSAGES FOR CHILDREN

Essiac tea is safe for children of all ages. However, please speak to your health care provider before beginning your child on any medicinal regime. Also, be sure to administer the dose according to the child's bodyweight and the child's level of health.

Here is a guide to the correct Essiac tea dosage for children:

If your child weighs up to 15 lbs.,

USE 1/2 oz. of tea once per day for maintenance dose or 1/2 oz. of tea twice per day for aggressive dose.

If your child weighs 15-35 lbs.,

USE 1 oz. of tea once per day for maintenance dose, or 1 oz. of tea twice per day for aggressive dose.

If your child weighs 35-55 lbs.,

USE 1 1/2 oz. of tea once per day for maintenance dose, or 1 1/2 oz. of tea twice per day for aggressive dose.

If your child weighs 55-85 lbs.,

USE 2 oz. of tea once per day for maintenance dose, or 2 oz. of tea twice per day for aggressive dose.

If your child weighs 85 lbs.-110 lbs.,

USE 3 oz. of tea once per day for maintenance dose, or 3 oz. of tea twice per day for aggressive dose.

If your child weighs 110 lbs. or more,

USE 3 oz. of tea once per day for maintenance dose, or 3 oz. of tea three times per day for aggressive dose.
